Press announcement
KIOGE 2016, the 24th Kazakhstan International Oil and Gas Exhibition, to take place in Almaty from 5-7 October
KIOGE is an established platform for presenting innovative technologies and key development trends in the oil and gas industry. As one of the most important industry events, KIOGE contributes to the development of up-to-the-minute economic ideas and specific solutions for the oil and gas sector. “Recent economic changes have become a real challenge for the oil and gas industry, however, using our many years of experience, we have managed to maintain the stability of its development. Today we are open to introducing innovative technologies, attracting investments and increasing international collaboration in the oil and gas industry. As such, holding events such as KIOGE is becoming particularly important. After all, favourable conditions are created here for presenting and promoting goods and services, finding potential suppliers and investors, learning about competitors, and getting up to date information on the latest achievements in the industry directly,” commented Kanat Bozumbayev, Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Major industry players from Kazakhstan, the CIS and other countries will take part in the KIOGE 2016 exhibition and conference. This year, more than 500 companies from 20 countries are expected to exhibit.
This year, the KIOGE conference will have a new format, focussing on its practical aspect: there will be a seminar on HR policies during a time of crisis, round tables on the development of deposits and related infrastructure, modern technologies in geological surveys, and issues of investment agreements, and sessions on oilfield services. One of the most anticipated discussions for Kazakh delegates is the round table on mutually beneficial collaboration in developing Kazakhstan’s domestic products and workforce. Kazakhstan’s oil and gas industry is attracting serious investments, and new equipment and accounting systems are being introduced, which often leads to an imbalance favouring international suppliers of staff, goods, and services, which is why the issue of complying with national interests is key.
KIOGE will present the latest technological, engineering and programming developments for oil and gas producing businesses from leading industry suppliers such as KAZPROMAVTOMATIKA, Caspian Marine Services, Niashimi Producer & Trading Co, Panam Engineers Ltd, RHI Dinaris GmbH, BONO ENERGIA, Valco Group (SNRI SAS), and Zhengzhou Sapwells Petroleum Machinery Manufacturing Co. Ltd.
KIOGE 2016 will take place with official support from the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akimat (Local Administration) of Almaty, KazMunayGas, the European Business Association of Kazakhstan, the Association of Oil Service Companies of Kazakhstan, and diplomatic missions from exhibiting countries.
The exhibition’s partners include regular exhibitors such as VELAN, Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B. V., Tengizchevroil, and Techninvest.
