27th Plenary Session of the Foreign Investors Council

Kazakhstan Welding Project initiated by oil and gas company Total was announced at the plenary session of the Foreign Investors Council (FIC) in 2009 is annually discussed during these sessions.

27th plenary session of the FIC was held this year on June 12th in Borovoe village, Kazakhstan.  The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev chaired this session during which the attendees addressed the issues of foreign investors' participation in the second five-year stage of the industrial and innovative development of the country.

The Vice-President of "Total", the President of "Total E&P", co-chairman of the Kazakh and French Business Council Mr. Yves-Louis Darricarrere reported to the Head of State on achievements made within the Kazakhstan Welding Project. The President N. Nazarbayev praised the report and called on other foreign companies to undertake projects on training the local specialists as well.
