5th KazWeld Annual General Meeting
On May 15, 2015 the Kazakhstan Welding Association "KazWeld" hold the 5th annual general meeting at the Scientific and technological center "Parasat", Astana.
The Deputy Minister of Defense, Mr. Sauranbayev, heads of domestic and foreign companies, representatives of international organizations as well as the heads of higher and secondary educational institutions of Kazakhstan attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the executive director prof. Abdurakhmanov presented the annual report for the last fiscal year and plan for the next year. The last year the association reached high results, significantly expanding its activities from training of specialists in the field of welding with the issuance of the international diploma to certification of welding personnel and companies with the issuance of European and international certificates. Experts from the International Institute of Welding noted that KazWeld made a significant progress in its activities within the short period, far exceeding the expectations of the world community.
The main results achieved from May 2014 to May 2015:
• On November 18, 2014 at the General Assembly of the European Federation of Welding (EWF) Kazakhstan represented by the association «KazWeld» received the status of observer.
• On February 4, 2015 at the IIW & IAB Paris meetings KazWeld received the status of the authorized body for the certification of companies and full authorization on certification of welding production according to ISO 3834.
• On March 9, 2015 KazWeld got full authorization on certification of welding personnel according to the scheme of the International Institute of Welding complying with ISO 14731.
• On May 11, 2015 KazWeld got full authorization on certification of welders, welding operators and brazers complying with the scheme of the European Federation of Welding in accordance with international and European standards and the standards of the leading countries of the world.
Chairman of the Board of Director, Mr. Zhandos Abishev, congratulated the new KazWeld members to join the Association and awarded the certificates of members. This year several organizations such as Center of Technology on transport, Nondestructive testing certification center, Montazhspetsstroy, 3M Kazakhstan and APEC Petrotechnic joined the association.
At the meeting, the presentations were made by the Director of the Aktau Training Center – Mr. Myrzagali Tulepov, managing partner of KEN Partners – Mr. Yerlik Karazhan, Chief Welder of Welding Solution – Mr. Sergei Matvienko as well as a representative of 3M Kazakhstan – Mr. Baurzhan Adaybekov.
